Richard F. Hope, J.D.
Senior Advisor
Richard Hope is a Senior Advisor with CES. He is also an Adjunct
Professor at Kean University (New Jersey) and at East Stroudsburg
University (Pennsylvania), teaching courses in International Commercial
Law and Business Law.
Richard spent almost 20 years as a corporate counsel with AT&T and
two of its spin-off companies, Lucent Technologies and Avaya. Among
other things, he was responsible for coordinating various international
projects, and he trained company counsel, contract and sales personnel
in international commercial law matters. He also worked on corporate
transactional projects and compliance-related matters.
Prior to joining AT&T, Richard litigated contested corporate takeovers
(tender offers) as an associate with the Skadden, Arps law firm in New
York. He co-authored several articles in the field.
Richard received his J.D. from Harvard University Law School. His text
book on International / Multinational Commercial Law was published in
July 2006 (and is available from the www.lulu.com website). Richard
also authored a law review article entitled “Draft Model Employment
Contract for Space Employees,” published in 1984. His latest book,
“Easton PA: A History”, was published in August 2006.
